When videos are purchased as a gift, customers may not know if the person who is going to receive it will even be open to doing an interview.
There is no risk. If the person is not interested, we just don't proceed. But let’s says that person is on the fence. One of the things we pride ourselves on, is helping people feel connected, comfortable and invested in the process.
We spend a lot of time talking to our clients about what they're comfortable exploring in the interview. Customers are our very best guide and will even say things. like, “I want you to talk about this hard subject, but I want you to do it this way.”
We are happy to work with clients to figure out the best way to open people up and put interviewees at ease.
A time-capsule video is one that commemorates a specific moment in time. For example, if someone is about to have a baby. We create questions devised to help them remember and share this very special time in their life as it is happening.
Other examples include, a person who is graduating, or a couple that has been recently engaged and wants to tell their love story in real time.
These videos are often much shorter in duration than the legacy videos.
We offer custom gift cards that include the occasion for which gift is being given as well as the name/s of those who are giving the gift.

We begin the process with an in-depth consultation. We want to get at what folks most want to document. The questions are then customized based on those discussions. For example, we like to know if an intervewee has lived through historic events or if there are sensitive topics that should be hand;ed with care.
We do provide the questions ahead of time upon request, but many prefer to be spontaneous in their answers and prefer not to have the questions ahead of time.
We do ask follow up questions unless it is requested that we do not.
Yes, we do Zoom in addition to in- person videos. We have more control of the lighting and sound in-person. That said, we absolutely can do Zoom videos, and we find that the quality is very good.
Our goal is to provide a deeply meaningful document that you will value throughout your life. Our videos, while highly professional are not heavily edited or slick as in a”video montages”. We are happy to add pictures or break the video into segments. Our focus, however, is to capture people as they are in a natural conversation. You will hear my voice and you will hear the conversation. You will, not, however, see me.
We have found that what our customers respond to most, is our ability to truly capture their loved one just as they are: the way they talk, laugh, get sassy, and sometimes cry. It is often those moments that are the most precious. Therefore we do our best to keep the videos as unedited as possible.

We provide them digitally. You will be given a link to a download that is good for 90 days after we send it to you. It is important that you do that as the video will be deleted after the 90 days. (Don’t worry you’ll be reminded!)
We also will provide you, if you are interested, with a gift box which contains a thumb drive should you want to share it that way.
